    JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Sr. Associate is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources team in supporting HR policies, programs, functions and activities. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Ability to process and review payroll as needed on a semi-monthly basis including all issues involving taxes, deductions, garnishments, etc.
    • Assist with updating employee records in HRIS and time-keeping tracking system
    • Assist with recruiting activities such as drafting and posting position requisitions, sourcing candidates, resume screening, interview scheduling, and conducting phone and in-person interviews
    • Coordinate onboarding process including drafting offer letters, entering and monitoring background checks, new hire orientation and review of paperwork for all new hires
    • Coordinate employee terminations including scheduling and conducting exit interviews as needed
    • Assist with coordination of training initiatives
    • Coordinates Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Paid Family Leave claims
    • Coordinate and monitor compliance training and tracking through completion
    • Provide audit support as requested
    • Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
    • Assist with preparation of monthly HR reports
    • Assists employees with HR related questions around benefits, leaves, pay etc.
    • Provide support to Director of Human Resources
    • Any other duties as applicable to the position

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree: Business Administration, HR, or similar degree (Required)
    • SHRM Certified, PHR, or other HR certification preferred
    • 3-5 years’ Human Resources generalist experience
    • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and use critical thinking skills
    • Attention to detail and enjoys creating and streamlining processes
    • Proactive and flexible in approach, able to switch gears within fast paced setting
    • Able to take a project and create positive results with a reasonable amount of direction
